Future chicken farmer??

Hi all,

Here is my future farmgirl practicing her skills as "official chicken feeder". Granddaughter Kaylyn came to visit this weekend and she is the best helper I have ever had! She will not only hand feed the chickens (the chickens are the very 1st thing she asks to visit when she arrives, and she is looking forward to seeing the "baby chickens" when they hatch) she also helps with the feeding of all other critters and helps to plant the veggies, pull weeds, clean the kitchen and tackle the laundry. I hope to get her sister and cousin interested when they are a bit older but for now I am very happy with my 2 farmhands, Kaylyn and Ray! Momma chicken, as Kaylyn has now re-named Chicken Little, is doing fine and still setting on her nest. She should hatch out around the 24th of March and you can be sure I will post pics here when she does. Not many things are quite as adorable as new baby peeps!
