We are waiting the rest of the winter out and looking forward to spring here on Maggie's farm! The chickens have all survived our cold and snowy winter and are finally starting to lay a few eggs here and there when winter decided to give us another round of snow. Not anywhere near as much as the last batch but we did have a massive melt last week followed by a new cold down and another layer of snow this weekend. Now, I know I get all impatient every year waiting to get out in the garden and see what we can grow but this is getting on my last nerve! We get a nice teaser of warm weather followed by snow showers! Oh well, nothing I can do about it but sit by my warm fire and plan out the garden.
Ray and I went to a Bluebird house building class today at Kenyon College in Gambier. I was the manual laborer this time and Ray got to supervise. We had a good time and came home with a brand new Bluebird house, now we just have to hope a nice Bluebird couple want to move in. We have spotted Bluebirds the past couple of years so it shouldn't take too much to get a couple interested.
Hang in there folks....spring is just 16 days away!!!
