Celebrate

Yesterday we had a house full of celebrants with our annual "Christmas with the kids" party. All of the kids showed up with their kids in tow (those that have them, anyway) plus we had my sister Mary and my Mom join us for the fun. With the oldest boy's new work schedule (basically non-stop) and relocation to Findlay, plus the various other logistical problems that come with trying to get 4 households to come together on the same date and the same time, it was a bit crazy trying to get the family together but we did accomplish just that. We had a good meal of lasagna, mac-n-cheese with chicken and home baked bread plus various libations from lemonade to micro-brew beer to eggnog (both virgin and experienced hehe) we all had our bellies filled with goodness. Ray has become my personal cookie baker and he baked a few dozen cookies for dessert (ginger snaps, chocolate chip, oatmeal, sugar cookies). We exchanged gifts and had many catch up conversations since this is the only time some of the kids see each other all year. The grandkids were running around while the adults enjoyed each others company: this is family. Thanks to all for putting up with all the picture taking plus taking time from their busy lives to help Ray and I celebrate family. We love you all.

We don't have too much planned for the remainder of the year. I'm currently on vacation but Ray will be working on and off the rest of the year. My wish to you all is for a celebratory close to 2012 with a renewed energy and feeling of hope to start 2013!
love to all
