my date with Xander

Last Friday I took the day off of work for a very special reason...a date with grandson #1, Xander Michael. Xander's school had a Grandparents day..and he asked his mimi to join...how could I possibly say anything other than, of course I'll come! He is in kindergarten and he seems to really like school and his teacher. He took me on a tour of his room, showed some of his school work, presented me with a couple of crafts and introduced me to his friends. The class sang a few songs to showcase what they've learned over the year and we finished up with a picnic on the school lawn. He is such a shy, sweet boy and I really enjoyed the day with him..here are a few pics...
