Saturday happenings...some good, some not so much

The Komen Race for the Cure was this Saturday and Ray and I put our money into the pot, our selves into the crowd and walked the 5k around downtown Columbus. The weather was a bit cool, very windy but nicely sunny. There were 40,000 participants this year and boy, what a crowd it was. We had a good time, did a good turn in the fight against breast cancer and did ourselves a favor by getting out there and walking!

Here we are post race...tired but happy,

And here is Asi. No, she did not just finish off some unlucky prey, she has tomatoe juice on her neck...which we used on her to combat the utter stench of skunk...which she decided to tangle with this morning. She is still rather smelly but we were able to let her in the house to eat. She may have to spend a night in the box (Cool hand Luke style) but she should be alright tomorrow. I feel really bad for her since she isn't sure why she stinks and no one wants to pet her. Poor girl, she needs to learn to leave those little critters alone. Sometimes they do fight back.
