Zoo trip

Saturday I drove out to Thornville to pick up Kaylyn and Kiryn for a day at the zoo. We met up with Justin, Jen and Elizabeth for a good breakfast and then headed out to the Columbus Zoo. The weather was perfect and the girls had a good time checking out all of the animals. The favorite place by far was the aquarium of all places. The Columbus Zoo has the aquarium set up with a tall wall of glass so the kids could get a good look at the fish, sting ray's and manatees (which are my favorite aquatic animals). We saw wolves that reminded the girls of Asi and big cats that reminded them of Tasha (for those of you not familiar she is our 5 lbs. kitty that totally rules the place around here. She is one seriously tough little girl and has nailed every grandkid except Xavier, who I am sure she will get in time. She is generally known as the "mean kitty" by all). Below are some pictures from the day. The 1 picture of the 3 girls is the only one I could manage to get but it sure turned out nice.

Elizabeth playing in the dirt, which prompted our very diligent informant (Kiryn) to report to Jen "Lizabef is making a big mess"..

the girls climbing on the statuary...

the result of a long trip to the zoo, tired but happy.
