it's been a while

since I've posted here. I'd like to say it's that we've been busy but not more that usual, I'd like to say it's the season but I don't do that much for the season to warrant that as an excuse. I believe I've just not had a ton to say lately. No real reason, just haven't. So, I now feel a bit of an update may be in order...here goes:

• we've successfully deposited Bev in FL (as previous post will confirm)
• the garden is as good as it's going to get for the winter (chickens in the garden at the end of a season are so very helpful)
• we've had 2 significant snowfalls so far (and it's not even winter yet)
• we've purchased a cord of firewood so I see many chilly nights spent in front of lovely fires in my future
• the girls are loving the 2 significant snowfalls, the chickens are hating it and the cats are indifferent (as cats are known to be)
• we are starting to get in the "Christmas shopping" mood a bit, mostly online in front of one of those lovely fires
• we managed to get Ray in front of a TV for the OSU/Michigan game (thanks again to our hosts Rachel and Robert for allowing us to invade their home but I believe the cupcakes that we brought along helped there)
• we are eagerly anticipating a visit from our little Chicago Granddaughter later this month
