recently

Fall is half over and we're still working on the usual tasks that we need to complete before the quiet of Winter arrives. We're starting to put the garden to bed for the Winter, we've been able to plant garlic and clean the garden up a bit. Ray got a new toy which is causing me some trepidation: basically a garden torch, or a mini flame throw (which is what I think it actually is). He's had an idea to burn the weeds out of the garden and so far his new toy has done the trick. I'm just waiting on my shed, the fence or the man himself to go up in flames! Yikes!!
We took a trip to FL mid October. With the passing of Paul we did not want Bev to drive down by herself so we took a week off work and the 3 of us drove down togther. We helped Bev get her winter home in order and spent a bit of time at the beach. The trip was bittersweet, as most things are going to be for a bit longer, but we were glad to be able to help get Bev established in FL. We then flew home (one mad dash through the Atlanta airport but other than that an uneventful flight).
We are now trying to complete the remainder of our usual tasks to get ourselves and our surroundings ready for the peaceful quiet that Winter will bring.

I hope all is well with you all. Enjoy Fall while it lasts!
