At long last the coop is finished!!

Happy hens!

At long last the coop is finished. The chickens have been living in the new
coop for a week or so but we are now officially done with the coop building
and painting and Ray couldn't be happier! I think he did a great job considering he has never built anything from scratch before. It leans a bit but
the chickens don't mind and I now can separate the egg hens from the mama
hens. We have been able to collect 3-4 eggs daily and will soon have
enough to start to sell. They are the
best tasting eggs I have ever had and
I always make sure to thank the girls for there efforts!

In other news, we have been very busy the past few weeks, which explains the absence of new blog postings. We have been working hard in the garden, not to mention on the coop. We also had a few visitors, Justin, Jen and Elizabeth one weekend, Paul and Bev the next and Kaylyn and Kiryn last weekend. This weekend coming up we will be heading up to Toledo to celebrate Paul and Bev's 50th wedding anniversary! Lots of family will be in town, including Ray's brother Craig and family. This will be the 1st time the entire family has been together since Ray and I have been married so I will be taking plenty of photos. I know we will have an awesome time and am looking forward to it.

I hope everyone is enjoying the start of summer and will have a bunch of lazy, hazy, crazy days ahead!

Love to all
