Whirlwind weekend!

Hi all,

What a jam packed weekend we have had. With the arrival of Xander on Thursday, Ray and I decided to take Kaylyn and Kiryn for the weekend to give their mom and dad a chance to become acquainted with their new brother. Saturday morning we headed out to the local farmers market for veggies and from there we went to a blueberry patch for picking. The berries were pretty picked over but we did manage to find a few. After a stop at home we headed to Maw's for a
visit and a nice dip in the pool. The girls were very good all weekend and had a great time everywhere we went. We returned them this morning a little worn out but happy! Xander is doing fine and the girls were happy to see him and their parents.
When Ray and I returned home we found a nice surprise. The 2 game hens from Deb had been setting on a collective nest for a while and we were afraid they would never hatch out the babies.
Well, we shouldn't have worried because these girls know what they are doing! We have counted 8 peeps so far but they are hiding out under the hens so we are not quite sure if this is all there is. It will be interesting to see if the hens mother all of the peeps or if they split them up but 1 thing is for sure, these peeps will be well protected! I really like the one that is peeking out from between the hens. What a cutie pie!
Ray and I are now going to try to recover from the weekend enough to be able to start back to work on Monday.
I hope everyone is making the most of the summer while it lasts.
Love to all!
